Parents' and Friends'

Save the Date: Grown-Ups Bus Trip to Dunkeld

Thursday, 28 November - two-course lunch at Parker St Project and tour of the Kitchen Garden.

The Royal Mail Hotel's bountiful 3-acre kitchen garden is set in an idyllic location at the base of Mt Sturgeon, Grampians National Park.

The garden supplies organically grown, seasonal produce for the Royal Mail Hotel's award-winning fine-dining restaurant, Wickens, and the casual a La carte Parker Street Project.

With over 600 varieties of vegetables, fruit, nuts, mushrooms, edible flowers, and herbs in production, there is not much the brilliant chefs cannot produce.

The Royal Mail's holistic and sustainable approach to food production is based principally on ageless gardening techniques. These include utilising mulches and manures from our agricultural enterprises, a six-stage crop rotation system, companion planting, organic pest control, closed composting, and green manuring.

The Parents' and Friends' events committee is excited to invite you for a day out in Dunkeld.

Keep an eye on upcoming newsletters with booking details.

Christmas Cakes

Thank you to the College community members who have signed up to help with the cake-making. Your time and support are greatly appreciated!

The College Christmas Cakes are our major annual fundraiser and a long-held school tradition. Each year, we need helpers at different stages of the process.

  • Thursday 19 September - weigh and mix ingredients
  • Saturday 12 - Wednesday 16 October - baking week
  • Thursday 17 October - pack up and distribute cakes to sell

We have created a new, super easy online form for volunteers to book in for a shift that works for them.  We would love your support.
