Capital Funds Grant

Dear Families,

First and foremost, thank you to our School Council, staff, students, and parents for your incredible support of our application to improve the Newlands school grounds.

Many of you have been asking about the video, well, here it is! A huge thank you to Nathan Lambert and Anthony Cianflone for their advocacy, Claire for her thoughtful letter on behalf of our school community, and to our student leaders who gave the VSBA a real and honest look into the current state of our grounds.

We’re especially proud of our students, who collected over 500 signatures from parents, students, and community members. Their passion and commitment have been nothing short of inspiring. I couldn’t be prouder of the effort they’ve put in to advocate for their school.

The application goes in today. We look forward to finding out the results in November.
