STUDENTS SPARKLE IN SEUSSICAL JR!

Our community was whisked away to the Jungle of Nool and Whoville and loved seeing so many of the beloved characters of Dr Seuss come to life in our 2025 Production. BIG congratulations to all the students, Gavin and the incredibly talented and supportive parents who all helped make it such a success. Our staff were blown away so I can only imagine how much you enjoyed watching your own children on stage and in their tech or makeup roles. We enjoyed watching the video of the show yesterday as a whole school. A link to the video will be sent to participating families soon. Sincere thanks to parents Cam and Gavin for your set up, recording and editing time to offer this special momento to our students.

Here are some behind the scene action from our special weekend....

Thanks everyone for being part of our Production. What a special community to belong to.

And yes, Gavin has started discussions with us about next year's musical options!....

In Class Time...

Classes wrapped up the term with some production reflection and free music jammin/dance for Prep-Grade 2s. I enjoyed a campfire sing-a-long (fire made of a brown tub and colourful music sticks) with Grade 3+4s on our ukuleles and Grade 5+6 students finished presenting their Music project and Kahoot quiz on their chosen artist, instrument or genre. It was terrific to see a range of topics featured which allowed peers to gain a greater understanding of different music styles  including Kenny Rogers, Phonk!, Katy Perry, 80+90s rock, Billie Eilish, Archie Roach, Kendrick Lamar, Ruth B, SZA, Ariana Grande and the history of the piano and saxophone.

Thanks for a great term together. I will start Term 3 on long service leave (heading to Cape York with my boys) and we will have 2 teachers - Ellie Foster and Amber Andrew - covering Performing Arts for the first 5 weeks of Term 3. I am sure your children will enjoy Ellie and Amber who are both experienced in this specialist area. I will look forward to joining back in again on Tuesday 26th August.

Happy holidays,
