From the Principal ...

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we are gathered on and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.

Dear students, staff, parents and friends of Cheltenham Primary School

National Reconciliation Week is celebrated every year from 27 May to 3 June and  invites all Australians to explore how we can contribute to building a fairer and more respectful future—one that acknowledges the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through classroom activities, storytelling, and thoughtful conversations, we helped our students explore the importance of Reconciliation and the role we each play in strengthening relationships and creating a more united Australia.

Ground works

The synthi replacement is well underway and on schedule. All ground works have been completed and the new synthi has arrived and will be layed over the course of this week and next. Please enjoy some progress photos from the last few weeks...

Congratulations to Will – Selected for the State Football Team!

We are thrilled to announce that Will McG. has been selected for the 2025 School Sport Victoria 12 Years & Under Boys Australian Football Team!

This outstanding achievement comes after more than two months of highly competitive trials, where Will demonstrated unwavering dedication, resilience and commitment. Out of over 900 boys across the state, he has earned a place in the final squad of just 23 players.

Will is now preparing to represent Victoria at the national championships this August, where he will compete against the best young talent from across Australia in Maroochydore.

Well done, Will we are all so proud of you and wish you all the best for the Championships!

Help Us Keep Our School Community Healthy

As we head into the heart of Winter, it is a great time to consider flu vaccinations for your child. The flu can spread easily in school environments, and vaccination is one of the best ways to protect your child—and others—from becoming unwell.

We also kindly remind families to keep children at home if they are unwell or recovering from an infectious illness. This helps prevent the spread of germs and ensures that everyone at school stays as healthy as possible.

Thank you for your support in keeping our school community safe, well, and learning together!

Kind Regards,

Bronwyn
