This is what our students have been up to this week.
Classes Prep -2
Today, Thursday 12th June, our junior years hosted Jarrod Paine (JP), our local snake catcher and author of Snakes Awake.
With Alice Hamilton's help, the resident children's python from Bogong Education Centre, came along for the visit too!
Students had a hands-on experience while JP chatted about safety, both for the snakes and people and read his book. JP discussed the snake species we have in North East Victoria, Red Bellie, Copperhead, Eastern Brown and Tigersnake. Sometimes the female snakes will live in groups when pregnant, and they are nacturnal and diurnal.
