Sacrament of Eucharist - First Communion

Congratulations to the students who received their First Communion last weekend on the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

It was wonderful that many parishioners commented on how reverent and respectful the children were during their special Mass.  The parishioners enjoyed reading the children's Please Pray For Me posters displayed on the church walls and will continue to pray for these children and their families.

The children will have the opportunity for their second Communion this Friday at the whole school and parish Mass to honour the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Please continue to keep these children in your prayers.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and collection for Vinnies

Please remember to send along non perishable food items or toiletries to school for our annual Vinnies non perishable collection. Thank you to the families who have been able to send items.

Our donations will be presented to Vinnies volunteers at the Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass on Friday 27 June at 10.00 am in the Church.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day

We will celebrate Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday 25 July.

A prayer liturgy will be held in the Church after the grandparents and special friends have completed activities with the students in their classrooms.

If you would like to share a family photo of your child/children with their grandparents or special friends, which will be shown during the prayer liturgy, please email it to rhickey@smashburton.catholic.edu.au

The photos need to be emailed by Friday 4 July so the Year 6 Digital Technology leaders are able to prepare the Google Slides presentation.

Pope Leo XIV's Prayer Intentions

June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is a symbol of the love and compassion Jesus has for humanity.

Pope Leo's prayer intention for the month of June reflects the need of showing compassion to others.

Please try to find some quiet time in your busy day to pray Pope Leo's Prayer Intention for the month of June. Thank you.

That the world might grow in compassion

Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation

in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his Heart,

learn to have compassion on the world.

Amen
