Ballarat Night Tram

The brightly lit vintage Ballarat night tram will glide through the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, glowing with colour and charm. Families can enjoy a visit to the award-winning museum after dark, with displays open and offering a unique night-time experience as part of the Ballarat Winter Festival.

Ukiyo Tent

Visit the new Ukiyo entertainment tent at this year's Ballarat Winter Festival.

Prepare to be amazed as the heart of Ballarat's Central Business District is transformed into the wonderland of circus, comedy and family-friendly fun.

Boasting an exciting program of six high-energy 40-minute shows per day, there are shows for all ages.

Ballarat’s Hot Choc Showdown

This deliciously indulgent event brings together over 25 local cafes in a friendly competition to crown Ballarat Winter Festival's favourite hot chocolate.

From classic flavours to wildly imaginative creations, each cafe/restaurant will showcase their unique take on this beloved winter warmer.

Raising Healthy Minds

The Raising Healthy Minds app is a free, personalised, pocket resource to help parents and carers raise confident, resilient children. Co-designed with parents and experts and funded by the Australian Government, Raising Healthy Minds aims to support children’s social and emotional wellbeing with evidence-based information.  

You’ll find information on topics like dealing with worries and making friends, as well as ideas for day-to-day life, like creating family routines, looking after yourself as a parent, and building strong relationships.  

The app offers a mix of quick-read articles, videos and animations aimed at parents and carers of children aged 0-12 years. You can tailor information to the age of your child and opt-in to receive helpful tips.
