Semester 1 Academic Excellence Awards
On Tuesday we hosted our second annual Semester 1 Academic Awards Assembly. At St Joseph’s College one of our core values is to strive for excellence in everything we do and to celebrate our individual and collective success. Success can look different for everyone but any achievement requires persistence, hard work and the ability to seek out and take on feedback.
The awardees are students who consistently work hard and have achieved outstanding results in Semester 1. A total of 65 students received awards in one of three categories.
To receive an ‘Academic Excellence’ award, students were required to achieve an A in English with an average of an A across their other subjects. ‘Academic Distinction’ required an A+ average. Awards were also presented for students who achieved a standard of ‘Exceeding’ in their NAPLAN tests.
