Senior School Subject Selection

Subject Selection for the Senior School 2025 has commenced with students in Years 9, 10 and 11 attending Subject Selection Assemblies. There was a great turn out at our Subject Selection Information Night and Expo this week. It was great to see so many families and students talking to our senior teachers and Careers Team regarding their pathways and programs in our senior school.

Parents and students can access our Senior Subject Selection 2025 Handbook on COMPASS under the Community Tab >  School Documentation > Subject Selection Handbooks > 2025 Senior School Subject Selection Handbook.

This resource contains information on the pathways on offer at our College as well as the extensive range of subjects available across the senior school.

Year 12 2025

Web preferences are now open for students in Year 11 to select their Year 12 program for 2025. Web preferences will close on Friday 2 August at 9 am.

Year 10 & 11 2025

To assist students in Year 9 and 10 with the selection of their subjects and program for 2025, students can access on Compass - Insights, their Subject Planning Sheet and the Career Planning Sheet. Students are advised to speak to their teachers about the subjects that they are interested in studying in 2025 as well as research possible career options. These planning sheets need to be completed before their course selection interviews in the coming weeks.

Course Confirmation Interviews

To assist students in their pathway and subject selection for 2025, all students in Year 9 & 10 with their parents/guardians will be invited to attend a subject selection interview at the College with a member our Careers and Work Related Skills Team.

For Year 10 students, these interviews will run from Monday 5 August - Thursday 8 August.

For Year 9 students, these will occur from Monday 12 August - Thursday 15 August.

Information will be sent to families via Compass,  regarding these this week.

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

The Term 3 Parent/Teacher/Student conferences will occur on Thursday 1 August from 3:45pm – 8:00pm.

Bookings are currently open via Compass and will close at 4:00pm on Wednesday 31 July.

Subject teachers from both campuses will be available for in-person meetings in the College Oak Centre at Brigidine Campus. The Careers coordinator (Beth Crossman) and Work Related Skills Coordinator (Ben Hearn) will also be available for booking. If you are unable to make the interviews and you wish to see your child's teachers, please contact the subject teacher directly to organise a time for a phone call, email or video call.

The purpose of these interviews is to provide an opportunity for students, parents and guardians to speak with staff about student progress in specific subjects and seek advice surrounding the upcoming subject selections for 2025.

It is also an opportunity for staff to inform parents or guardians of any concerns they may have about a student; discuss strategies for improvement; and reinforce positive learning patterns.  We ask that students also attend these interviews with their parents or guardians.
