I enjoy the outdoors, to which end I went on the Year 12 Outdoor Education and Year 10 Careers Camps. I have also more recently joined the St Josephs College Sports Academy. I am passionate about the role that sport plays in developing our students both on and off the field.

Length of time at St Joseph's College:

A whopping 6 months and I love it!

What do you love most about working at SJC?

My fellow colleagues are quite remarkable and have gone the extra mile in not only being kind to me and my family, but towards our students. There are some quality humans in the teaching space at St Joe's - many Heads of School in waiting!

What has been your most memorable moment in your time at SJC?

Each time I greet a student, and they greet me back with a smile - makes my day. Small things make a big difference to my day and our culture.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?

That I presented an academic paper at the 2012 Pre Olympic Conference in Glasgow, Scotland. I was super nervous, but grew from the experience presenting and taking questions from some of the world's best in the sports space. I had my wife as my biggest supporter, which made all the difference in a life changing experience and I have run 15 Comrades Marathons (a 90km road race in South Africa). I like challenging myself in tough situations, which hopefully rubs off on my children one day.

What do you love most about working at SJC?

I've been teaching for about 24 years in the primary sector and and am a mum of three teenagers - so it's been great to finally move up to the 'big kids'. So far, I'm really enjoying seeing past students whom I might have taught in Year Two!

It's only early days but I would like to thank the St Joseph's community for their warm welcome. I have been given the opportunity to teach Visual Arts and Humanities which is new for me and very exciting. I am predominantly based at the Kildare Campus and am enjoying the first-rate facilities and aesthetic outlooks of St Joseph's College.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?

I'm pretty open so not much, maybe my love of country music or that I can ice skate/roller skate!
