How long have you worked at Beaumaris?

Two and a half years.

What is your role at the school?

Year 12 GOAL Mentor and VCE Psychology Teacher. I have also choreographed "High School Musical" (2022) and "School of Rock" (2023) (college productions), which were some of the highlights of my teaching career.

What are you known for at BSC?

I’m known for being a reel maker for the Beaumaris Instagram. Students sometimes hide when they see me coming, but secretly love being influencers.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve done this year?

Buying my first house. I'm very excited to get my “Block” on and do some interior design!

Do you follow sport/AFL?

I’ve been loving watching the Olympic games, specifically swimming and beach volleyball. I’m also a big Tigers fan, which I’m not so proud of this year.

Who would you like to swap places with for a day?

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.

What is your favourite TV show?

"Breaking Bad", and fun fact: my dog is named Jesse Pinkman.

What music do you like?

Embarrassingly… I hate to admit, I’m a massive Belieber.

When you were little what did you aspire to be?

I genuinely always wanted to be a teacher.

What was your favourite subject at school?

Psychology…of course!

What skill would you like to master?

I would love to be able to speak another language.

Do you collect anything?

Clothes!

Do you play a musical instrument? If so, which one?

I used to play the flute at school.

What would you sing at karaoke night?

"Baby" by Justin Bieber.

Do you have a message for students you may teach in the coming years?

Find the fun in everything. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift—that is why they call it the present.

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Young Lindsay Lohan.

Thanks, Ms O'Malley!
