Women in STEM

The Future STEM Leaders program is a multiple touchpoint program.

It targets and supports the growth and development of leadership skills in Year 9 and 10 women to be STEM Leaders in a classroom through facilitating the delivery of a practical STEM workshop to younger year students.  The STEM Leaders learning is guided by Women in STEM Ambassadors who are current RMIT students studying a variety of disciplines across STEM.

On the 25th of July, the students were involved in the first part of the program, which took them through what it is to be a STEM leader, practicing public speaking and facilitating skills and learning a geospatial science workshop which they will later teach other students in part three later in term 3.
