Excursion to Brighton Town Hall
Prep News
Over the past few weeks, Preps have been exploring two-syllable words. We've been breaking these words down and focusing on closed, open, and silent 'e' syllables within them.
In Maths, we've been concentrating on 100-square work, counting by 1's and skip counting by 10's to 100. Students have also engaged in activities like 'write the missing number' and 'what is one more/less.'
Our explicit teaching has focused on the operations of addition and subtraction, representing these both pictorially and on 10 frames with counters.
In Religion our Preps have been learning about the 7 days of creation. Students brought home their booklets this week. Read through it with them.
