Sustainability

It was a beautiful day for students to be in the garden today. We reworked our worm farms and fed all the hungry, multiplying worms that will help to make nutrient rich soil for our gardens.

Have you noticed all the other garden makeovers around the school? The cuttings planted by Year 5/6 at the front of the school are all growing beautifully and make our school look so friendly and welcoming.

SUPER 20% DISCOUNTS - ORDER YOUR FRUIT AND VEGETABLE BOXES

HELP US FUNDRAISE!

Farmers’ Pick have offered us a huge 20% off for all new orders! Trinity is participating in the ‘Feed Our School’ fundraising initiative by Farmers Pick, an organisation that prevents ‘perfectly imperfect’ fruit and veg from ending up in landfill by selling boxes of this produce that supermarkets can't. Families can order fruit and veg boxes online, and have it conveniently delivered to Trinity every Tuesday.  Better yet, their produce is priced up to 30% less than at the supermarket, and Trinity receives $5 for every box ordered! See flyers attached for more information.

CAN YOU HELP?Gardening Club would love parent/grandparent voluneers on Thursdays at lunch time.

We would also love to find a volunteer to repot our lemon tree into a larger pot. It gives us many beautiful lemons but desperately needs repotting in order to survive. If you can help please contact Ms Belinda at bnechwatal@tcs.catholic.edu.au.

NUDE FOOD DAY - THURSDAYS

Congratulations 3/4SK, this week’s Nude Food Champions!

We ask students to choose foods which create no rubbish to bring for lunch on this day. Some great ideas can be found at https://www.nudefoodday.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/HOW-TO-PACK-A-NUDE-FOOD-LUNCH.pdf

Have a great week everyone! Thanks for your great efforts in helping us live in a way that is kinder to our environment!
