Parking

We have observed increasing instances of illegal and inappropriate parking during the drop-off and pick-up times in the surrounding streets of the College.

Ensuring the safety of our children and the comfort of our neighbours is a priority that requires our collective effort. Unfortunately, improper parking practices are creating hazards for both students and local residents. These issues include obstructing traffic flow, reducing visibility for drivers and pedestrians, and increasing the risk of accidents. Additionally, our neighbours are facing difficulties due to blocked driveways and restricted access, which affects their daily routines and quality of life.

Licence plate numbers are being reported by residents to local Council and Police.

We kindly remind everyone to adhere to the parking regulations and guidelines in place. This includes:

  • Avoiding parking in restricted zones (yellow lines) or partially blocking driveways• Utilising designated drop-off and pick-up areas only
  • Observing all traffic signs and signals to ensure safe and smooth operations during busy times
  • Please find further explanations of Traffic Rules here, from Brisbane City Council.

Your cooperation is essential in maintaining a safe environment for our children and respecting the needs of our local community. We encourage all parents to park in designated areas and if you are walking into the Campus to drop off or collect your child, please do not park in or opposite Circular Drive.

Let us all work together to uphold these standards and demonstrate our commitment to the well-being of our school and neighbourhood. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Exhibition Day Holiday

A reminder next week there is the Brisbane Exhibition Public Holiday on Wednesday 14 August, please note the College will be closed on this day.

Science Week 2024

Science Week is just around the corner and will be held next week, and this year’s theme is 'Species Survival: More Than Just Sustainability!' This theme invites us to explore and engage in a variety of educational activities designed to enhance our understanding of Science. From special guest speakers, thought-provoking discussions to interactive Science experiments and hands-on STEM projects, there will be something for everyone!

Book Week

The Secondary students will be celebrating Book Week with the theme 'Reading is Magic'! There will be daily activities and a Friday dress-up day - come as your favourite book character!  Alongside Book Week we encourage you to bring a gold coin donation or a new children’s book in support of a local charity ‘It’s from Elsie’.  Please note that if students are being dropped off at school they can arrive in their dress-up gear, however if students are travelling by public transport they need to arrive in formal uniform and change into their dress-up gear at school.  The same applies going home after school.  Let us celebrate the magic of reading together!
