Years F - 2

Our F–2 students have been working hard lately and showing fantastic effort across all learning areas.

It has been wonderful to see students enjoying their home reading. Students keep the same books for the week, with books swapped towards the end of the week. Re-reading the same book builds fluency, confidence and comprehension, so this repetition is an important part of their growth.

In Maths, we have been learning about patterns and experimenting with different types of patterns. Some students are also developing stronger automaticity with skip counting and are becoming more confident starting from different numbers.

In Art, we have started preparing for the Red Gum Festival, and students are excited to begin creating their special pieces. We can’t wait to see their creativity shine!

There was also great excitement in the yard this week when students discovered a turtle. It sparked lots of curiosity, discussion and big smiles all around!
