Principal's message

Hi Families,
We're only a week away from the halfway point of Term 1. It feels like we've only just started!
Next week, is one of my highlights of the year with both the Alvie House Sports (Tuesday) and the Polwarth Sports (Friday). It's going to be a MASSIVE week with plenty of tired children on Friday evening.
For the new families, the Polwarth Sports is probably the number one highlight of the school calendar, where we have over 250 students competing, with a similar amount of spectators on the day. If you have some spare time, we'd love to see you. We'll send out the Polwarth Sports Program early next week.
This next week, we'll be sending home raffle tickets for an Annual Easter Raffle, so stay tuned....
On Wednesday this week we recieved a call from the Herald Sun who are writing an article on regional schools that are excelling acros Victoria, with Alvie PS being chosen as one of the very best! On Wednesday next week, the Herald Sun photographer will be taking a number of photos of our students and the school. So please ensure your child/children wear full school uniform this day. The aim is for an article to appear in next Saturdays paper.... If your family would like to opt out of the photo, please don't hesitate to give the school a call.
We recently received a link to when the Geelong Cats attended Alvie PS. Please see the below link to view our superstars :)
