Montsalvat  Arts Excursion

On Thursday 27 February, the Year 11 Visual Communication Design class visited Montsalvat as part of their Unit 1 course. The students have been working on creating an investigative folio, where they need to come up with a concept for a festival to be held on the grounds of Montsalvat.

At school, they have been conducting secondary research, seeking inspiration, and brainstorming ideas. The visit to Montsalvat allowed them to conduct primary research and carry out a visual investigation of the site. Students spent time taking photos, empathizing with potential users, assessing the logistics of their festival ideas, and creating observational drawings.

Upon returning to school, this experience will help inform their design process and provide real-world insight into the Discovery phase of the Double Diamond Design process. Students will follow up this valuable experience by presenting their research, writing a design brief, and creating graphic design solutions associated with their festival.

We are so lucky to have access to such a unique environment in our local community, and for the students to have this hands-on learning experience

Year 7 Art Club

Every Monday at lunchtime, Year 7s are welcome to gather and be creative in room 607. We will explore different art making materials and techniques, working collaboratively or individually.

Online Arts and Technology Exhibition

The Eltham High School Online Arts and Technology Exhibition is live and ready for viewing.
