Governing Council Sub-Committee Member
Are you passionate about actively influencing our children's educational journey?
We invite you to consider taking on a pivotal role in one of our sub-committees. No prior experience is required – all we need is your enthusiasm and a genuine interest in making a positive impact in a specific area.
The available sub-committees are:
Finance
Sports
Education
Grounds and Buildings
Out School Hours Care
Community Engagement
65th Anniversary
Sub-committee meetings are typically scheduled twice per term at mutually agreed times.
Please note that members of the governing council and sub-committees are required to have a current Working with Children Check and Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect (RRHAN) training and we can help you arrange these.
To submit a nomination for a Sub-Committee Representative position please submit your nomination by Wednesday 26th February 2025 to tyson.grinham428@schools.sa.edu.au.
Please include a short paragraph outlining your qualifications, the value you would bring to the role, and your reasons for nominating.

INSIGHTS ARTICLES
A new Insights article is released weekly during the term and can be accessed through the school account. Insights articles are written by Dr Justin Coulson and other leading experts and provide parenting education and support for a wide variety of traditional and contemporary parenting challenges. You can also access 300+ previous Insights articles on our school’s URL above.
PARENT WEBINARS
You have access to 4 live webinars a year (one per term). Upcoming webinar details will be promoted through the newsletter. We hope to live stream some of the webinars in Tirkandi later in the year, to allow the school community to connect and discuss the topics presented. This will be promoted through the school newsletter ahead of the event.
The first Webinar for the year is titled “Emotional Regulation - A Heart-Centred Approach to Supporting Your Child” this webinar will be live-streamed on 12th March 2025 at 7pm.
You’ll have access to the recording via our school’s URL after the event, but as the webinars are live, we recommend you watch them in real time so that you can ask Dr Justin and/or the guest presenter any questions you may have.
