Who's Who at MCHF - By Gabriella Massoud
This month the College welcomed Chinese short stay students to experience Australian education. The guest students were buddied with our students and will spend the week learning in classes and participating in the life of the College. We hope our students enjoy the experience as it provides them with an opportunity to experience a different culture.
The College will be welcoming further short stay students over the next few weeks.

Head of College

Students from Years 2-6 had fun during break 1 at the Learning Centre Club. Students completed affirmation bookmarks and participated in wellness activities. They also loved using the computers.

The MCHF Fitness Club is off to an amazing start this year, with students from all year levels coming together to improve their strength, endurance, and overall well-being. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, the club offers a welcoming environment for all. With a variety of workouts and activities designed to challenge and inspire, members are encouraged to set personal goals, push their limits, and support each other along the way. From high-energy circuits to mindful stretching sessions, the MCHF Fitness Club is all about building healthy habits, boosting confidence, and having fun while staying active.

Last year, 431,383 students across NSW took part in the PRC, with a record 323,328 students completing the Challenge. At MCHF, 572 students across K-9 contributed to the latter figure.
The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a call for each student to read, to read more and to read more widely.
The PRC opened on Monday 24 February. It is an expectation that all students in Years K-9 participate. Passwords have been updated to align with the NSW Department of Education’s Cyber Safety protocols. Over the coming weeks, students will receive their new login details.
Please encourage your children to incorporate reading as part of their daily routine, and to log their reading on the PRC website.

Gathering in the heart of Sydney’s West at West HQ, the LIFTED Leaders program provides an opportunity for young leaders from both systemic and independent schools from the Diocese of Parramatta to connect, strategies and lead change in their communities. The Leaders at MCHF were asked to join the LIFTED Leaders program and were honoured to be part of the experience.
