Celebrating Hospitality: Opening College Mass

Our recent College Mass was a powerful celebration of faith and community, centered around the theme of hospitality. Led by Bishop Shane and Fr Novie the liturgy brought together students, staff and special guests in a spirit of welcome.

A significant moment of the Mass was the commissioning of our Student Leaders and new members of our Leadership Team, who have embraced the call to serve their peers and the broader community. With faith and commitment, they were entrusted with their responsibilities, reminded that leadership in our College is rooted in the values of hospitality, compassion and justice.

We also took this opportunity to acknowledge our Year 12 students, as they approach the culmination of their journey at our College. Their presence and contributions have shaped our school community. We  look forward to all that our Year 12 students will bring to St Joseph’s as they journey through their final year.

Our celebration was further enriched by the presence of representatives from Kildare Ministries and Catholic Education Sandhurst, who joined us in reflecting on the legacy of welcome and service that defines our school. Bishop Shane’s homily highlighted how hospitality is at the heart of our mission, reminding us of the  welcome we are called to extend to others, just as the Brigidine Sisters welcomed and served the Echuca community. Their generosity and commitment laid the foundation upon which we continue to build, ensuring that our College remains a place of inclusivity, warmth and opportunity for all.

This Mass was a moving reminder of the privilege we share in upholding the Brigidine tradition and the values of Living Justice, Living Peace. As we move forward in the year ahead, we do so with a renewed commitment to open our hearts and our doors, just as those before us did, continuing the legacy of faith and welcome that makes our community so special.

Enhancing Catholic Identity Survey

We are excited to announce our participation in the Enhancing Catholic School Identity Survey. The aim of this survey is to gather valuable insights into how our school community currently views its Catholic identity and explore how it can be shaped for the future. Students will be completing these anonymous surveys during their Religious Education classes.
