A Strong Start to the Year

As we settle into Week 4 of Term 1, the energy at Brigidine Campus is one of focus and determination. Our classrooms are calm, purposeful spaces dedicated to learning, and there is a collective effort to meet the high expectations set for us. While we acknowledge there is always room for growth, we also recognise that now is the time to embrace challenges and strive for improvement. We thank our students and families for the support they have provided in starting 2025 strong.

A key event this past week has been the LM Evening, an evening of welcome that reflects our core value of hospitality. This gathering provided students, families and staff with the opportunity to discuss academic goals, study habits and areas for improvement. It was a valuable reminder that success is built on intention, effort and the support of our community. A reminder to families that the LM is the first point of contact, our student advocates, and supporting the building of this strong relationship is essential. It is the first link each student has to their House, one worth nurturing. Thank you to all the families and students who took time to engage in these meetings.

A wonderful celebration and acknowledgment occurred at our Opening Mass on Tuesday this week. As a community, we had the privilege of entrusting our future to the 2025 Student Leaders. Alongside this, our Year 12 students were recognised as they received their Year 12 badges, a meaningful milestone filled with great pride and responsibility. We wish them well as they embark on their year of both learning and of leading our College.

There is an overall sense that expectations are rising, and the vast majority are rising to meet them. A sense of purpose and of striving to be the best versions of ourselves, defines our campus. Whether we started strong or faced initial hurdles, what matters is the commitment we bring to each day moving forward.
