"Celebrate "

Thank-you!

This will be our last newsletter for the year and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our families for their support and care over the year. We have had a wonderful year of learning and have shared some great experiences - especially our amazing school production. Our students have shone in so many ways and I have had so many wonderful compliments about them from many different people that have encountered them both at school and out in the community - they are a credit to us all. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday and a wonderful Christmas filled with peace and joy. Please join the parish family of St Mark's church and come along to one of the Christmas Masses to celebrate the birth of Jesus. See the RE News for Christmas Mass times.

SCHOOL FINISHES FOR ALL STUDENTS ON MONDAY 16TH DECEMBER AT 1.30 P.M.

Year 6 students finish on Thursday 12th December after their graduation.

Thank-you to Sam - (Kate's dad), who was the very deserving recipient of the "Stella Award" for service to the St Mark's community in 2024. Sam was the president of the PA over many years and has continued to help and support the school in many ways over the years.

Thank-you also to the parents who organised and ran the Year 6 Disco on Monday night. It is certainly a highlight in the end of year celebrations for our departing Year 6 students.

Congratulations:

Wilson and Austin received an award at Vietnamese recently.  Well done boys on your great work.

St Mark's Choir @ St Joseph's Carols Night:

Ms Tammy Sabo will be leaving at the end of the year - she has taken a job at a school closer to her home for 2025.  We will miss Tammy's expertise in the ICT area and especially the work she has done with the STEM MAD competition. We have employed Ms Ellis Warrener who will fill the STEM/IT role and also take on the Maths Leader role. Ellis comes to us as and experienced STEM/IT leader in the Catholic system and we look forward to working with her in 2025. Mrs Chris Karalis has also been employed to work as a classroom teacher in the 3/4 area. Chris has been a member of the Catholic primary school system for 3 years and has had a career in engineering prior to studying to be a teacher.
