I understand that acrostic poems contain a topic word (E.g. Gratitude), adjectives and adverbs.

I can create an acrostic poem.

I can describe/discuss who and what I am grateful for.

VOCABULARY

Gratitude: being thankful and show your appreciation

Acrostic poem:

A poem that starts with the first letter of a word in its each line. Eg,

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students can think of 8 things and  people in their life that they are grateful for. 

Students then write an acrostic poem about it!
