Container Deposit Scheme

A big thanks to everyone who has already sent their donations through to our school... it's easy to do and will make a big difference!

The Container Deposit Scheme is a great initiative that will increase recycling, reduce landfill and reward Victorians for taking part. 

We have finally received our container deposit bins so now you have a choice- you can bring your cans and bottles into school and we will return them for you OR you can continue to use the ID and bar code below when you return your containers.

Use our donation partner ID when you return your cans or scan the barcode to donate directly to support Our Lady Star of the Sea.

There are two depots in Bass Coast Shire operated by Can Collect:

36 Inverloch Rd, Wonthaggi

14 Harvey Dr, Cowes

Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Saturday-Sunday 10.00am-2.00pm

There are also two reverse vending machines in Bass Coast Shire:

IGA Cowes - 161-163 Thompson Ave, Cowes

IGA San Remo - 135 Marine Parade, San Remo
