Hello Blue Class families,
It’s been a busy and exciting time in our classroom!
In English, we’ve been working hard on spelling and grammar, strengthening our skills for the end of the year. Our class novel, Runt, has been a big hit! We’re all enjoying the story of Annie, her family, and the incredible dog, Runt. We’re now three-quarters of the way through, and the plot is really heating up—everyone is on the edge of their seats!
In Maths, we’re revisiting everything we’ve learned this year to brush up on our skills and close any gaps. Division can be a tricky topic, and remembering the rules for area and perimeter is challenging, but the class is making great progress. A highlight has been our brand-new desks, which double as whiteboards! Students love solving problems directly on the desks and then transferring their answers to their books—it’s made Maths lessons extra fun and interactive.
A quick reminder: all of this term’s spelling lists and other weekly subjects are available on the students Google Classroom. This is a great resource for students and parents to reinforce learning at home.
Finally, our Year 6 students are fully immersed in their high school transition programs. It’s been lovely to see their excitement as they prepare for Year 7, even if there are a few nerves mixed in.
Thank you for your continued support as we wrap up the term.
