Colour Fun Run "Splatacular"

Thanks to all our families for a fantastic fundraising effort for last weeks colour run! All the children had an amazing time as you can see from the happy snaps we've included below. It was also great to see so many families in attendance on the day.

Futsal

Students from the 5/6 team have recently enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a Futsal competition at lunchtimes. Futsal is a football-based sport played on a hardcourt like a basketball court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors (similar to soccer). A huge thanks to Miss L for organising and giving up her lunchtimes to make this happen.

Taekwondo

As part of the physical education program, senior students have recently enjoyed the chance to learn some basic martial arts skills during Taekwondo workshops. These will run across the next couple of weeks and we are sure all students will continue to enjoy these sessions!

Homework

Across the past few weeks we have been incredibly busy with the school concert, colour fun run, public holidays and assessments galore! As such, homework has not been issued to students in the 5/6 team during this time. Beginning next week however, we are returning to normal homework expectations with several tasks chosen to support upcoming assessment tasks.

Enjoy the weekend!

Junior Years

What a HUGE week it has been for the Preps, Ones and Twos!!

On Monday excitement was in the air as we made our way down to BlueFit swim centre in Maddingley. The bus ride was as exciting as the swimming.

All of the students did a fabulous job of representing Ballan Primary School and while we have lots of tired little humans at the end of the week, we should all be so proud of how well they did throughout the week.

It was wonderful to see their independence and confidence grow over the week and by Wednesday, we had everything down to a fine art!!

We hope that the Preps, Ones and Twos all have a restful weekend!
