Mr. Carlyle's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter.

A very big week for us here with our junior swimming program taking place for the preps, ones, and twos. I would like to take the opportunity to first thank Mr. Murrell for his work in expertly coordinating what could have proven to be a logistical nightmare for many of us.  A big well done to our teachers and support staff in a seamless week that saw our youngest students navigate bus trips, pool safety, and quick changeroom turnarounds.

Colour Run

What a fantastic celebration for students and the community.  A huge shoutout to our parent volunteers, in particular Vanessa Osbourne and  Fiona Leach for their work in this space.  I would like to thank all the parents who attended for their enthusiasm, joy, and support in making it a great afternoon for all our students.  I must admit that getting slimed by the preps was the highlight of my term.

Celebrating 150 years

This year Ballan Primary School will be celebrating its 150th year.   In November this will see us hosting a community event that will merge with our Fete.  The Parents and Friends Group is seeking anyone who would be interested in being a part of the organisation of this event.  Or to help out or volunteer their time in any way, as Teamwork makes the Dream Work! You can reach out to me or the school, if you feel like you could contribute, or if you have a fantastic idea for something we could add to the celebrations.
