Christmas Celebration

All families are invited to our Christmas Celebration at Seeds Church this Monday 25th November.

5.30pm Dinner - pizza orders can be collected from the servery at the church or please feel free to bring your own dinner for your family.

6.15pm Christmas Celebration - with all our students presenting various Christmas items and featuring our Foundation students presenting the Nativity.

Students are asked to please wear red, white or green t-shirts (unless wearing a costume for the Nativity play) and to sit with their class on the evening.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Remembrance Day

On Monday 11th November, our school community gathered to honour the brave folk who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. As the Australian flag flew at half-mast, students solemnly observed Remembrance Day, reflecting on the courage and dedication of those who served in times of conflict. The ceremony included a moment of silence and the laying of wreaths at our memorial stone by some of our senior students. Lest we forget.

Outstanding Achievement Recognition: Mathletics

The state representative from Mathletics presented some special awards at Assembly in Week 6. Two students, Arjuna and Nandini received glass trophies for achieving Legend status, which is an award presented to only three students in South Australia! Arjuna, Ethan and Malachi received medals for their achievement in Mathletics.  Congratulations to the students on this outstanding achievement!

Staff Farewells

At the end of this year, we will be saying farewell to Mr Jordan Wheatcroft and Mrs Mel Carpenter. In a previous newsletter we let families know about Mel's plans for 2025. Jordan will be continuing in his Wellbeing role at Emmaus Christian College next year and we thank him for all his work at Pilgrim School and the connections he has made here. Both of these staff members will be greatly missed!

Donations Appreciated

Pilgrim School would appreciate donations of sewing fabrics in usable pieces (50cm to 1m or larger) and balls of wool. If you are able to donate any fabric or wool, please bring these items to the Front Office. Thank you.

Casual Day Wednesday 4th December

On Wednesday 4th December (Week 8) we are holding a casual day. We invite students to dress in Christmas colours or they may wear their sports uniform together with some Christmas “bling” or decorations. Funds raised will go towards Pilgrim SRC projects.

A donation is requested from each student. Please use Qkr! for donations or cash on the day. The donation option is already open in Qkr! and will remain open until the end of the term.

Normal standards for hair and jewellery apply and footwear needs to be appropriate for normal class activities, including fitness (not slippers, thongs or slip ons).

Thank you for your support,

Pilgrim Student Representative Council (SRC)

2025 Classes and Step-Up Day

At Pilgrim School, we understand the importance of creating the best possible learning environments for all our students. Each year, our teaching team engages in a detailed and collaborative process to determine class placements for the upcoming year.

Feedback received from parents is carefully considered alongside our teachers’ in-depth understanding of each child’s academic progress, social-emotional development, and unique needs.

Our teachers work together to balance these factors, ensuring each class supports every student’s growth and well-being. It’s a process that takes time, care, and a deep understanding of our students.

We appreciate your trust in this process and look forward to another wonderful year of learning and community at Pilgrim School.

Families will receive an email informing them of their child/ren's class for 2025 after school on Friday 6th December. This will enable you to let your child know before their step-up session on Monday 9th December when students will spend some time in their 2025 class with their teachers for next year.

2024 Yearbook

In recent years we have sent our yearbook home in the last week of term. This year, we have made the decision to include some of our end of year activities, such as our Christmas Celebration and Year 6 Graduation so, yearbooks will be made available to families early in 2025.

2026 Foundation Enrolments

We have been conducting interviews for Foundation 2026. If you have a child due to start school in 2026, please click on the Application for Enrolment button below and complete the enrolment process.

If your child will be 5 years old by 1st May 2026, they can commence in Foundation at the beginning of that year. If your child turns 5 years old between 1st May and 31st October, you may wish to consider midyear entry. This has always been an option and now that preschools are able to enrol children from midyear to midyear, it may be an excellent opportunity for your child. Please contact Kristen Heath on 8270 3033 or at heathk@pilgrim.sa.edu.au if you would like to discuss your family's situation.
