Letter to Family and Friends
Dear Pilgrim Families,
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, we are reminded of the joy and anticipation that this season brings. With just over two weeks left, our school is abuzz with preparations for end-of-year celebrations, reflection on the year’s achievements, and, of course, the excitement of Christmas.
This is a time when we are called to pause and reflect on the blessings we have shared as a school community. From the friendships formed to the challenges overcome, we give thanks for the growth and learning we have seen in our students. Together, as staff, families, and children, we have worked to foster a nurturing and Christ-centred environment where each child is valued and encouraged to thrive.
The Advent season is also a special opportunity to prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christ’s birth. Just as we light the candles on the Advent wreath, symbolising hope, peace, joy, and love, we pray that these virtues fill your homes during this time. May the story of Jesus’ birth be a source of inspiration and reassurance as we draw closer to Christmas Day.
In the coming days, we look forward to sharing some treasured school traditions, including our Christmas Celebration, Year 6 Graduation and our award assemblies. These moments allow us to come together as a community to celebrate the unique gifts of each child and to give thanks for the year gone by.
We know that this time of year can also bring busyness and sometimes stress, so we encourage you to take moments to rest and connect as a family. Whether it’s sharing a story, decorating your home, or attending a local carols service, these simple acts can bring much joy and meaning to the season.
As always, we are grateful for your partnership in your child’s educational journey. Your support, encouragement, and prayers have been invaluable this year. May the coming weeks be filled with peace, joy, and the hope of the Christmas story for you and your loved ones.
Blessings,
Michael Denholm
