Be Awesome Day and Colour Run
The Preps had a fabulous day on Friday celebrating Be Awesome Day and going to the Colour Run. Thank you for all of your donations to make this day happen and to everyone who assisted us with the stalls on the day. Congratulations to Prep Vernon who raised the most money for our school!
Buddies
We had a games morning with our buddies last week. It was so much fun!
Spring Gully Animal Hospital Visit
We have been learning all about our community this term and we were so lucky to get to visit the Spring Gully Animal Hospital, last Wednesday. We got to check our heart rate and listen to each others heart beat. We got to see an x-ray and the x-ray machine, then check on the animals who were recovering. Thank you for letting us come to visit you, Spring Gully Animal Hospital!
Maths
We have been learning about subtraction over the last few weeks. We are learning to use strategies such as using number lines to take away the smallest number and draw a picture of the whole amount and cross out the ones that are being taken away.
Tissues
Thank you for all of your donations of tissues. We very much appreciate it and will now be set until the end of the year!
Reading Log Book Survey
Thank you to all families who participated in the survey we sent out about the 2024 Prep Reading Log Book. Your thoughts were very much appreciated and have helped to form an updated 2025 Reading Log Book.

Our book of the week is 'The Smeds and the Smoos'. For the rest of the year we will be revising Heart Words, specifically focusing on reading and writing: 'all', 'you', 'said', 'where', 'they' and 'like'.
In Mathematics, we will be revising what we have learnt this term and learning about complex pattern and sharing.
In Topic, we will continue learning about 'Our Sustainable World and 'Farm to Table' by looking at what we need to feed our bodies as well as at where vegetables and honey come from.
In Respectful Relationships, we will continue learning about Positive Gender Relations by doing the activities 'witnessing gender based violence at school' and 'what are clothes for?'.
