Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships:
Grade 3/4 Schulz have been investigating ways to positively problem solve!
We begin our RRRR lessons by holding a 'Yarning Circle' where we discuss our strengths and share experiences where this strength applies to us in our lives. This week we discussed 'fun' and the importance that creating our own fun has on developing our voice and our creative thinking skills!
Following this, we explored different scenarios displaying a variety of problems. First, we had to identify and articulate the problem so that we had a clearer direction for our problem solving strategies. It was also important for us to understand that different problems require a different set of solutions.
We used a great diagram called 'roads and roundabouts' which helped us to visualise the different 'roads' we could take when faced with a problem. Some were positive, others weren't and we had fun identifying the most efficient, positive road out of 'Problem Town'.

Its great to see so many pieces in place on our Gugu Rewards Puzzle! We have only 2 more pieces to move into Level 2 territory, which is very exciting. Especially because we are only in week 6, this means there is a very good chance we will reach our Level 2 reward before the end of the year, which is a Fun Trip to the Pool!
So let's keep earning those stickers. Teachers want to catch you doing the right thing. Show us how amazing you can all be and keep demonstrating all those great behaviours, such as great listening skills, being ready to learn and walking on paths. Together we can all contribute to this great reward. Just keep being awesome!
