The Allied Health Team at SGPS
Our school is very fortunate to have a team of highly skilled allied health professionals who do such important work, supporting students, families and staff. Each professional liaises closely with teachers and our learning intervention team when student referrals are made. Contact with parents/carers is also an important element of their work.
We have had a multidisciplinary team in place for three years now and we aim to have the same team at SGPS in 2025.
Our allied health team are:
Katie Moss - Social Worker (Monday to Thursday)
Simone Fraser - Speech Pathologist (Tuesday each week)
Elise Chambers - Occupational Therapist (Thursday each fortnight)
Tara Byron - Psychologist (periodic visits to undertake assessments)
Asthma, Allergy and Anaphylaxis Plans for 2025
Wendy will soon send home blank management plan templates for known students who suffer from asthma, allergies and/or anaphylaxis. We request that families have these plans completed and signed off by a doctor and returned at the start of the 2025 school year. Continuing with 2024 plans (in 2025) can not suffice; all management plans must be updated annually. This request is in line with DET policy. Thank you for your cooperation.
Have You Considered Ordering a Value Food Box?
One Box is a charitable organisation that have supported families of our school for 8 years. One Box has set up an initiative where all families can order a fruit and vegie box each week through the school. Boxes are available for pick up from the canteen each Friday.
The sale of each box goes directly to the school and other profits are channelled back into the donated box program for our school. Medium and large food boxes are available for purchase each week at a cost of $20 & $25. All payments are managed through the One Box website. Please refer to the flyer if you are interested in ordering.
