2025 Parent Contributions

Just a reminder that Parent Contribution for 2025 are being accepted. We understand that it is the lead in to Christmas and that things are little tougher now, but please consider if you can make some or all of the school contributions.  These resources are used to provide the extended curriculum here at Jells Park PS and we greatly appreciate your support.

Communications Strategy

Please find attached our new Communictions Stretegy. We have consulted with a range of groups connected to the school and have confirmed the content with teachers and School Council. This document details some of the changes we are making for 2025, specifically around reports, Parent-Teacher interviews and the provision of Work Samples. We also hope this lays out some of the expectations with regards to communications between school and parents. Please ensure you are familiar with this document for 2025.

Are you Leaving??

At this time of the year there are always some families that are looking at alternative schooling, working and living arrangements. For whatever reason, if you are leaving the school please let us know ASAP. We always have high interest from people wanting to enrol in our school, so the sooner we know of any departures the sooner we can offer spots for 2025.

International Day of People with Disability

On the 3rd of December we celebrate and recognise the contribution people with disablity make to our society, and aim to increase understanding and acceptance within the community.

Inclusivity is of utmost importance at Jells Park Primary School and staff work to ensure all students have the same opportunity to an education rich in academic, social and emotional sucess. Within our classrooms, this may include making adjustments to the physical environment or the teaching and learning programs, to meet individual student goals. Whole school initiatives such as our School Wide Positive Behaviour Program, teacher collaboration and various assistive technology, are some of the ways we adjust our programs and timetables to meet the needs of students with disabilities.

In 2025, Jells Park Primary School, as a member of the North Eastern Region of schools, will commence Disability Inclusion as part of the Department of Education's approach to inclusive education. This will provide extra support for students with disability across the school and allows us to better respond to the needs of students with disability to ensure they can participate and achieve their full potential at school and in life.

It's an exciting initiative and I am grateful to be leading this at Jells Park Primary School. If you have any questions or would like to discuss my role in this area please reach out.

Have a wonderful weekend!
