District Tennis

On Monday 4th March, six of our Year 6 students were chosen to play tennis against other schools in the district. Those students were Jay, James, Jamie, Emily ,Riva and Linaya. We arrived at tennis around 9.30am and left around 2.30pm. Mr Mondon, our school P.E teacher, organised the event and told everybody were to go in the beginning. We played against lots of different schools. The girls each played six games and the boys each played seven. The type of court we played on was a full court clay court. If you ended up with lots of points you would proceed into the Semi Final and if you get the most wins you verse the best player for the grand final. The top two boys and girls move on to the next round which is happening next term. From Good Shepherd, Emily and James made it through to Division and will go an play another competition next term. They also got a certificate. Congratulations to all players, especially Emily and James!
