Beginning of the Year Mass
Today we gathered together to celebrate our beginning of the year Mass and the traditional Prep Buddy Blessing. Father Michael lead us in prayer in his usual gentle manner and it was beautiful to see the gathering of our school community in the church. Our theme for the Mass was “Hope” as this year we celebrate the 150 year anniversary of the Ballarat Diocese. The scripture chosen to represent this milestone is from Romans 12:12 “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.”
Prayer Gathering
Tomorrow Dan and Leah’s Grade 6s will lead us in our first prayer gathering which will involve the student leaders of our school being acknowledged.
Next Friday, March 8th, Maegen’s Grade 6s will lead us in prayer gathering.
All welcome.
Project Compassion Boxes
A reminder that the Project Compassion boxes were sent home a couple of weeks ago and we also have one in each classroom. The school will hold a coin line day in the last week of the term, so please ensure these come back prior to the day.
