ELC School Photos

ELC student photos will be taken later in the year. The date is still being confirmed with the photography company. When it is announced, the children will have their photos taken and you will receive a proof sheet with ordering information a few weeks later.

3-Year-Old Kinder

In ELC3 we have begun to talk and think about the Christian Community Celebration of Easter through group discussions and songs. The children are learning the songs: “The Best Thing About Easter (Jesus is Alive)”, and “He Died Upon the Cross”, both by Colin Buchanan.

The children have been introduced to the social puppets “Abby” and “Jojo”, which are used to explore different social situations as a group. This week we explored ‘asking to join in play’, and ‘inviting other children into our play’.

The children were also introduced to the tunnel, and are learning how to line up and wait for a turn, and to crawl through one at a time. We are working up to an inside obstacle course and will add the trampoline, rolling mats, and chairs to crawl through next!

We also discussed Clean Up Australia Day as a group. The children were able to practise taking care of some sea creatures by removing rubbish from their environment. We discussed the importance of putting our rubbish in the bin so that it doesn't end up in the Ocean.
