Grade 5 Transition Day

On Thursday 20th June, 120+ year 5 students from around the district attended the annual transition day.

We had students visiting from: Branxholme/Wallacedale CS, Cavendish PS, Coleraine PS,

Dunkeld CS, George St PS, Gray St PS, Hamilton North PS, Macarthur PS, Penshurst Ps, St Mary’s PS, St Joes Coleraine PS and Tarrington Lutheran School.

So many smiling faces, saying they were excited to be here but also a little bit nervous.  This day is all about giving the primary students an insight to Secondary School and having the opportunity to move from class to class and meet different teachers for the various classes offered.

The students undertook a tour of the school, participated in science classes, Woodwork, Art and P.E.

As usual, the canteen was a huge attraction for the visiting students being able to purchase various lunch items, and very much enjoyed.
