Student Wellbeing
STAR News 2024
Our STAR student leaders, Belle, Max, Jamie and Emily have hit the ground running as they lead our weekly STAR news video calls LIVE every Monday with the entire school. In this video call, our leaders remind our students of our behaviour and school values and discuss the behaviour goal of the week. The behaviour goal links into our behaviour data needs and helps reiterate areas of opportunity we can improve our school in.
Well done to our STAR leaders on an amazing start to the year in leading this important aspect of our behaviour and wellbeing program.
Parents are welcome to join our STAR news any Monday at 11:40, the link is on the calendar. We ask that your microphone and video are turned off to avoid distracting any of the students.
STAR Day - Wear Yellow
Friday March 22nd
A friendly reminder that on our school calendar that March 22nd is our whole school STAR Day. This day is to celebrate our wellbeing and school and behaviour values and recognise some learning around upcoming Harmony Day.
Weekly Behaviour Goal
This week's behaviour goal is to Respect Others in the Classroom by showing Whole Body Listening. We'd love parents to discuss our behaviour goals with your children to make the connection between home and school. Eg: You can ask what they can do to achieve the goal this week.
Gotcha Winners
For new families and a friendly reminder, our school hands out Gotcha tokens to students who are caught out doing Positive Behaviour. These tokens are placed on Class Dojo where each week a raffle is drawn out of all tokens and the 2 winners are recognised in STAR news each week as our Gotcha Winners.
Our Term 4 last year winners are yet to receive their rewards, so they will join our Term 1 winners when they receive theirs at the end of this term. We had 2 winners in our Gotcha raffle who were highlighted with great behaviour well done Lyla P (4DF) & Alyssa S (6CW)
