P&F Update

Countdown to the Colour Run!

We are so excited that the Colour Run is only a week away! A big thank you to everyone who has been collecting donations from family, friends and neighbours to support your children. Every dollar counts and will go towards our major fundraising goal for 2024.

Parents, we need your help. Our current donation tally is $2060. In previous years, the Colour Run has raised between $6,000-$13,000.

If you can afford to do so, please show your support by sponsoring your child for the Colour Run by visiting https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1177659 Donations close on Tuesday 12 March.

We would also like to thank Click Engineering for sponsoring our Colour Run $500! 

White tops for sale for the Colour Run

P&F will be selling brand new white school tops for only $2 on Friday 1 March, next to the Icy Pole Stall on the front lawn. These tops have the school logo and would make a great souvenir to remember the day!

Colour Run Prizes

This year, we will be rewarding our top fundraisers with a chance to win the following prizes.

  • 1st prize: Vivid Hover Board (value $449)
  • 2nd prize: Family pass to Luna Park (value $170)
  • 3rd prize: Hoyts family movie tickets (2A+2C) plus 12 blocks of chocolate! (value $149)
  • 4th and 5th prizes: Karate passes (value $129)

The class with the highest fundraising total will win FREE slurpie vouchers - YUM!

 

Zooper Dooper Fridays

Come and grab a Zooper Dooper icy pole from the stall on the front lawn every Friday (weather dependent) in Term 1 for only $1. (Cash only)

 

FREE Holy Spirit Dads’ Night Thurs 7 March

We are delighted to welcome Dr Ben Robbins, Head of Psychology and Wellbeing at Essendon Football Club to talk with our Dads about managing stress and anxiety, improving motivation and practicing self-compassion. There is no cost to attend and light refreshments will be provided. 

 

When: 7pm Thursday 7 March

Where: Holy Spirit Hub (walk down the ramp towards the Prep area, entry is to your left.)

Shop for your School at Eastland!

We are very excited to be one of 15 local primary schools participating in Shop for your School at Eastland, giving us a chance to WIN a CASH prize.

1st - $10,000

2nd - $7,000

3rd - $3,000

All you need to do is:

  1. Shop at Eastland’s participating fresh food stores and supermarkets between 4 – 28 March (make sure you keep your receipts).
  2. Click the 'UPLOAD RECEIPTS' button when it appears from 4 March, register your details and nominate Holy Spirit as your school.

Your purchase amount will be converted into points for our school and you automatically go

into the draw to win weekly prizes for yourself!!

 

The top three schools with the most points at the end of the campaign will WIN a cash prize.

2024 Class Reps

Each year, we ask one or two parents from each class to volunteer as a Class Rep. The Class Rep is responsible for coordinating an opt-in online class group for parents, such as a WhatsApp group or Facebook group. The Class Rep may also coordinate birthday and end-of-year gifts for the teacher and LSO in their class. The time commitment for this role is less than an hour per month and it can be shared between two people. It’s a great way to get to know other parents in your child’s class and most of the work can be done outside of business hours. If you are interested in being a Class Rep, please email pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au

Fete Toy Drive – Wednesday 6 March

The Fete Committee is holding a Free Dress Day on Wednesday 6 March. You are invited to donate a new or as new pre-loved toy (or maybe even regift) to help make this year's Fete a fabulous success! These toys will be sold as part of the Toy Stall on Fete Day; Saturday 12 October 2024.

Any donation, big or small will be greatly appreciated. If you have more than one child, you are welcome to donate a single combined toy. If you are available on the morning to help collect the toys, please contact Lauren on 0407024019. The Fete Committee thanks for your continued support!
