My Shadow and I

As part of our Science Inquiry 5/6A, students learnt about how light casts shadows. We learnt that shadows appear on the opposite end of a light source. Shadows are longest in the morning and afternoon, and shortest at midday.

The Little Mermaid

Last term we were fortunate enough to go and see ‘The Little Mermaid’ production which was run by Killester College at Monash University in Clayton. The costumes, acting and sets were amazing.

Multi Faith Research

5/6A have been exploring the philosophical question of "Who is God" in the Catholic tradition and why he is important in our lives. We then made comparisons with other faiths and their teachings, giving us a deeper insight into how other people in our community express and celebrate their faith and spirituality.

SJV Production: "We Speak for the Trees

The school production was a great success. Here 5/6A spent time developing advertisement posters to promote the school production. The production was a huge success.

Buddy Hangouts

We love hanging out with our buddies. Here we are spending time together laughing and having fun together.

Poetry

Alliteration, similes, free verse, onomatopoeia and metaphors are all types of poetic language used in the writing of poems. 5/6A have created their own poems in the shape of their theme. Here are some examples. Watch this space on Seesaw.
