SJV Indonesian Day 2023

Selamat pagi! (Good morning!)

This year St John Vianney’s will celebrate our Indonesian Day in our school on Wednesday 25 October 2023. 

On this day, we will welcome Indonesian cultural workshops and performances delivered by Victoria’s leading Indonesian incursion group Bagus Kan!. Below are the key events:

Parents Indonesian Morning Tea:

Our Grade 6 Leaders are taking an initiative to prepare fun activities and serve light Indonesian Morning Tea for parents. The morning tea will be provided by the school with no charge, and held between 8:50am – 9:30am in the Staff Room. For catering purposes, please kindly confirm your attendance via Operoo.

Foundation – Grade 1-2 Indonesian Performance at 2:15pm (Parents are Welcome):

Parents are invited to celebrate and enjoy the amazing Indonesian performance by our Foundation and Grade 1-2 students at 2:15pm in the Parish Hall. There are also opportunities for taking photos with your children while they are wearing colourful Indonesian costumes.

Dress Up:

On this day, children are encouraged to dress up in red & white OR red & black celebrating the Indonesian national colours.

Fun Activities:

Grade 6 students have also prepared fun games and activities throughout the day such as Indonesian craft, quiz, and face painting (please inform the teacher if your child does not require face painting).
