1/2 Classes

Welcome to Term 4! 

This term we welcome Miss Sully, who will be teaching 1/2A for the rest of this year. The class have settled in nicely and are looking forward to all that Term 4 has to offer.  This week we are focusing on the aw/or/au sounds in Literacy.

Learning Celebration from Term 3

Last term, we ended with a wonderful celebration of the learning the students had been doing in Literacy. Each student had chosen an animal to research and then create an information report about. Thank you to all the families that were able to come in and see the Expo. We were all very proud of what the students presented.

Literacy Term 4

Students have been learning about procedural texts. How to identify a procedural text, how to follow a procedural text and how to write their own procedural text for something they are an expert on.

Numeracy 

This week, we started learning about fractions. We've been learning about halves, quarters, thirds and fifths and representing them in different ways. Mr Shuttleworth's group even learned about fractions by using Smarties! See if you can find fractions at home!
