News from our School Garden...
Exciting things are continuing to happen in our edible garden this term with a huge amount of work being done by an amazing group of parents, students and teachers! Over the Term 3 holidays 12 brand new wicking beds were installed. These are Australian made and use recycled plastic and are a great water wise addition to our edible garden. Students will be busy planting a variety of different crops in these over the next few weeks including beans, corn, pumpkin and tomatoes.
We are also very close to installing our brand-new greenhouse. With construction beginning in the next few weeks! We are very much looking forward to this addition for our school going in to 2024 and the exciting learning that it will bring.
Our seedling stall has also been extremely successful over the school holidays and the first week of the term, with many hundreds of seedlings sold!!! Seedlings are for sale in front of the office for $2 per punnet. Thanks very much to Deidre and our students for their hard work.
Happy gardening everyone!
