3/4 Class News
Year 3/4 Newsletter Term 4 Week 6
It has certainly been an action packed term so far. Time has flown. We started the term by continuing our ‘How the world works’ unit of inquiry on forces and motion in our world. Exploring these concepts involved a billy cart incursion, hands-on experiments, viewing some footage of engineering fails and lots of reading! A big focus has been planning and creating a Rube Goldberg Machine which involved students applying their knowledge of forces. Students worked in teams of four. The focus was not only on getting their Rube Goldberg Machine working but also on being a great team member and perservering when things went wrong.
We are now looking forward to our camp which is coming up in week 9. We are going to Camp Don Bosco in Safety Beach. This will be a great opportunity for us to come together as a Year 3/4 group, have some fun and celebrate the year we have had with each other. Some of the activities we will be participating in include the GaGa Ball Pit, Foosball and volleyball. We also hope to do some stand up paddle boarding.
