2025 NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME

On Wednesday students joined other schools and libraries across Australia in a celebration of stories.

National Simultaneous Storytime is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Kindergarten to Year 6.

This year's title The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel is a picture book about cats and humans, immigration and identity, and homes lost and found. The Truck Cat is the perfect book to inspire kindness and compassion in young children everywhere.

Our infants classes enjoyed a range of activities to support this beautiful book and enhance their love of reading!

ILF BOOK SWAP

The Great Book Swap is a fantastic way to celebrate reading locally, and raise much-needed funds for remote communities through the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
