HOLIDAY FUN!

Sham - On the holidays I went to the cinema with my friend Emma to watch the new Minecraft movie. Before it, we had lunch at the mall’s food court and walked to the cinema. We grabbed popcorn and drinks before finding our seats in the dark theatre. When the movie started, the sound and action pulled me in right away. After the movie, we went to Timezone and spent some tickets. It was an amazing day. 

Anvita - I hope you all had wonderful holidays. I went on a picnic to Rye beach with some family friends. It was really fun, we played water footy, tag on the playground and walked along the pier where we saw people fishing and catching squid! We even got to hold them!

The other places we went to were Hanging Rock and Daylesford. We managed to visit both in a day. We first went to Hanging Rock. We had to climb all the way to the top of the mountain where we took beautiful pictures and saw breathtaking views. Later we went to Daylesford Lake where we met some friends, saw ducks and admired the beautiful autumn trees.

We also went to Bright where we visited the river, drove up mountains and saw picturesque views of mountains and valleys. At night we saw the Milky Way glisten in the sky.

This holiday was very enjoyable, full of laughter, adventure and fun.

Mann – My family and I did our seasonal visit to the Yarra Valley Chocolate and Ice-cream factory. This time it was jam packed with people probably because it was the day after Easter. We were in the parking lot for ages before we got parking! Finally, we were inside the place and it was even more full than outside. We didn’t wait to attach ourselves to the rapidly growing line for the mini restaurant. We slowly stuffed ourselves and left happily.

Ethan - First, me and my family went to Brunswick to go to the Harry Potter Exhibition. At the start we saw the different wands used by the characters including my favorite - The Elder Wand. Then we passed the Great Hall and put our names on the Marauders Map. We also brew Felix Felicis in potions, uprooted mandrakes in Herbology, saw the future and played Quidditch. Finally, we passed the Dark Forest and Hagrid’s Hut and exited. Then we ate and came back home to rest our tired feet. It was a great day!
