Engagement & Wellbeing

Wellbeing Prioritites
At Buninyong Primary School, we’re focused on student wellbeing, positive behaviour and strong family-school connections.
Here’s what we’re prioritising this term:
🔄 Roll Out of the Updated Matrix
We’re excited to roll out our updated matrix this term, designed to be more student-friendly and visually appealing. It reinforces our expectations for behaviour and helps students better understand how they can be successful and demonstrate positive behaviour in all school settings.
💰 Buni Money Our whole-school acknowledgment system continues this term, with students earning Buni Money for showing positive behaviour in the yard, classrooms and specialist areas. We love seeing students being recognised for being respectful, responsible and kind!
🧘 Mindfulness & Wellbeing We’re helping students build calm and focus through regular mindfulness sessions and our Respectful Relationships program and SWPBS programs.
✅ Student Support & Check-Ins
We’re checking in with students who need a bit of extra support and continuing with our tier 2 programs - offering small group help with things like emotional regulation, social skills and wellbeing.
☀️ “One Percenters” & Positive Culture
We’re continuing to build a strong school culture by noticing and celebrating the small, positive moments that make a big difference.
📆 Attendance Matters We’re keeping an eye on attendance and working closely with families if there are concerns, to help students stay connected to school.
Thank you for your ongoing support—working together helps us make Buninyong a great place to learn and grow!
ANZAC DAY APPEAL - Items for sale
In the lead up to ANZAC Day, we will be selling appeal badges and other items at school on behalf of the Buninyong RSL. These range in price at $1, $2, $4 & $5 - see picture.
There is also a donation box for anyone wishing to make a contribution. All of these funds will be forwarded to the Buninyong RSL.
Items are available at the office and the fundraising team will be selling them to students when they go around to classrooms.
Thank you for your support.
