SAPSASA - District Cross Country

On Monday 13th May, 5 boys represented Marion Primary School at the District Cross Country Event at West Beach. Leading up to this event they have attended weekly training at school and been encouraged to continue this outside of school hours.

The students were nervous prior, as this was their first time competing with other schools. They supported each other well and had a lot of discussion before and after the event to help each other out with this new experience. They persevered with the long distances and minimized the time walking to catch a breath. The boys born in 2014 needed to complete 2kms in under 10 minutes and the boys born in 2013 needed to complete 3kms in under 15 minutes. I was impressed with their positive attitudes and their support of each other to try their best at all times.

A few are keen to give it a try again next year!
