Management of student non-attendance
Student attendance is recorded through our Sentral school management system and the class teacher and our Wellbeing Coordinator are both automatically notified if a student has more than 5 non-attendance or later arrivals in a term. This can then be gently followed up with families as required. More formal follow-up is provided when non-attendance reaches 10 days for any given student in a term.
Families notify the school of non-attendance via the Sentral Parent Portal/App, phone or email. For planned absences of more than five consecutive days, the Principal is required to approve the absence requested via an exemption from school form.
